Customer service & Project Tech
SUCCESSFUL Cambridge, MN Home Builder is seeking a Customer Service & Project tech. This position requires someone who is self-starter able to work independently as well as work closely with Co-Workers, customers, Vendors and trade partners in a fast paced environment while achieving high levels of customer satisfaction. Position involves resolving warranty requests made by CUSTOMERS by visiting the customers home to inspect the issue, determine if it's eligible under warranty and work with customers, VENDORS and trade partners to resolve the issue quickly. this position is responsible for warranty resolution in multiple communities to which they are assigned and work primarily from their vehicle and in or around customers' homes and homes under construction. Position also requires assisting Project manager with DAILY activities on new homes under construction as directed.
Process incoming warranty request
Schedule Warranty Inspection at customers home
Discuss with customer what is and is not under warranty
Coordinate and schedule all repairs with Vendors, Trade partners and customers
Follow up, inspect and insure completion of all repairs
Hold trade partners and vendors accountable for results
Instruct customers on how to maintain their homes, as well as communicating what items are not Under Warranty
Manage your budget
Performing minor repairs, patching, painting, trim carpentry, caulking, etc
Handle multiple tasks, as well as projects within designated time frames
The ability to say "no" and overcome objections in a professional manner
Responsible for achieving high levels of customer satisfaction
ASSIST PROJECT MANAGER AS DIRECTED
BACK BRACE BASEMENTS
SCRAP AND CLEAN SITES AS NEEDED or directed
VACUUM/sWEEP HOMES UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT certain STAGES OF CONSTRUCTION
PREP COMPLETED HOMES FOR CUSTOMER WALK THRU’S
PERFORM final WALK THRU’S WITH CUSTOMERS
CLEAN UNFINISHED BASEMENTS AND GARAGES prior to walk thru
PRESSURE WASH HOUSES, DRIVEWAYS AND GARAGE FLOORS; weather permitting
A positive attitude and good social/interpersonal skills are essential
Must be able to deal with and remain calm in confrontational situations and deal with negativity
Previous experience in the home building industry and/or some home repair experience is helpful
Previous experience in a customer service environment HELPful
Have exceptional listening and communications skills
Follow up and follow through consistently to deliver outstanding service
Have excellent time management, organizational and scheduling skills
MINIMUM EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
ADAPTABILITY AND FLEXIBILITY TO WORK EFFECTIVELY IN A FAST-PACED ENVIRONMENT WITH ABILITY TO COORDINATE SEVERAL ACTIVITIES SIMULTANEOUSLY.
DECISIVENESS, DECISION-MAKING AND PROBLEM-SOLVING ABILITIES TO SELECT AMONG ALTERNATIVE COURSES OF ACTION WITHIN BUDGET LIMITATIONS.
CUSTOMER-SERVICE ORIENTED WITH GOOD INTERPERSONAL SKILLS; GOOD VERBAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS FOR INTERACTION WITH A VARIETY OF PEOPLE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE ORGANIZATION.
GOOD MAINTENANCE AND CARPENTRY SKILLS; BLUEPRINT READING; USE OF HAND AND POWER TOOLS; DRYWALL REPAIR; PAINT TOUCH UPS.
ABILITY TO USE CURRENT TECHNOLOGY AND ABILITY and willingness TO LEARN NEW TECHNOLOGY.
EXPOSURE TO UNDESIRABLE ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS AS WELL AS SOME HEALTH AND SAFETY RISKS. APPROPRIATE EQUIPMENT AND PRECAUTIONS REQUIRED.
TRAVEL DEMANDS WHICH REQUIRE POSSESSION OF A VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE

Annual Salary COMMENSURATE with Experience
